How reviews work on Taqym

Taqym is independent. This page explains, in plain words, how reviews get published, what the labels mean, and what no business can buy.

Review labels

Every review carries one label that says what we know about where it came from.

  • Verified purchase

Taqym checked independent proof of this purchase.

  • Verified visit

Taqym checked proof of this visit.

  • Order linked

Sent through a link the business created from its own order records. The order details come from the business and were not independently confirmed.

  • Contact verified

The reviewer confirmed their email or phone. This proves contact details, not a purchase.

  • Invited by the business

The customer came through a review link sent by the business. This does not prove a purchase.

  • Registered customer

Written by a signed-in account. The purchase was not checked.

  • Guest review

Posted without an account, after the Taqym team reviewed it. The purchase was not checked.

Questions

How do I write a review?

Open the review link the business sent you or scan its QR code, or search for the business and tap “Write a review”. Pick the stars, add a comment if you like, then type your name to post as a guest, or sign in with an email code, Google or Facebook. It takes about 30 seconds.

Can I review without an account?

Yes. Type just your name and post as a guest. Guest reviews appear after a quick check by the Taqym team and carry a “Guest” label. If you sign in, your review is published right away and you can edit it later. Your email is never published.

What does “Verified purchase” mean?

It means the Taqym team itself checked proof of the purchase. A business can't grant it, and a review link, an order number typed by the customer or a confirmed email are not enough.

How are reviews moderated?

Reviews from accounts are published right away; guest reviews after a check. Anyone can report it, and the Taqym team reviews reports against the guidelines. We hide reviews that are fake, abusive, share personal information, come from a conflict of interest or advertise. We never hide a review for being negative. Every decision is recorded with its reason.

Can businesses reply?

Yes, the business's team can post one public reply per review. The reply rate on a profile measures engagement only, not whether the problem was solved.

How do I report a suspicious review?

Tap “Report” under the review and choose a reason. Customers and businesses can both report.

How do I appeal a decision?

Businesses: the “Appeal” button on a decided report, under “Your reports and appeals” in the dashboard. Reviewers: the “Appeal” button on your hidden review in “My reviews”. A team member reviews it, you receive the decision and its reason, and everything is logged.

What is allowed in a review, and when is one removed?

Allowed: your real experience, positive or negative, in respectful language. Hidden or removed: fake reviews, conflicts of interest (competitor, employee, the owner), advertising, harassment or threats, personal information, and content unrelated to an experience with the business. Every decision has a written reason.

What happens to the documents businesses send for verification?

Only the Taqym team sees them, and they are deleted from our database as soon as the request is approved or rejected. We keep only the outcome and who decided.

How do you protect authenticity?

One review per account or device per business, guest reviews checked before they appear, limits on repeated attempts, and a clear label on reviews that came from a business's link. We ask businesses to send their link to every customer, not only happy ones.

How are businesses ranked?

Never by the average alone. “Highest rated” needs at least 3 reviews and pulls small samples toward the average. “Most reviewed”, “Recently reviewed” and “New” are separate lists with different meanings.

How does Taqym stay independent?

Paid plans buy tools only (widgets, analytics, team seats). No payment changes a rating, a ranking or a moderation decision.
